Experimental Architecture Biennial #03 presents 50 unique projects of Zaha Hadid Architects that have been created for various clients but have not been built yet. This wide collection of different architectural typologies showcases a colourful spectrum of brilliant, carefully and thoughtfully designed proposals.
Explore some of the selected projects through Virtual Reality or experience their space in 3D-printed models. On show from 8 September until 27 October 2017.

Grotto 4.0
A two-day workshop focused on advanced fabrication, using a wax-extruder prototype and robotic arm IIWA. The project is inspired by the aesthetic of a baroque grotto, which converts natural morphology into a man-made space, following the principle “artificialia et naturalia”.

Hacking Paper
Material properties research and fabrication of a shelter form as an aggregation of paper elements. Participants designed patterns that transform a soft material into a structural one, building a temporary shelter on Betlémské náměstí that remained part of the exhibition until 27 October 2017.

Three-day studio course
Meta Matter
Research into rule-based design systems examining the interaction between the designer and the logical constraints of algorithms. Programmed behaviours form Computational Design Engines used to digitally grow series of architectural systems, using Processing/Java, Python, Maya and Rhino/Grasshopper.
